I have been wrestling since I was 4 years old.  Wrestling has made me who I am today. It is my desire to continue my wrestling career at a Division 2 or equivalent college or university that is competitive in academics and wrestling.

 

I was a successful youth wrestler so when my high school wrestling career began with some adversity, I had to rely on mental toughness to get through it and come out better from the challenge.  It was at that time that I began to mentally mature and became disciplined to get my body, mindset and technique better. 

 

In my junior year, I transferred to Smith County High School and joined a team of champions which only enhanced my individual abilities.  My uncle always said, “Preparation + Opportunity = Success”.  I had the preparation; now I had the opportunity and success would follow.  My junior year I was very competitive and I led our varsity team with a victory over Johnson High School to become the first ever WPIAL Wrestling Champions in our school history. 

 

Now in my senior year, I am undefeated in our team dual meet competitions and have only 2 losses in the regular season.  I won the JLK and Smith County championships.  I am excited to explore opportunities to wrestle at the next level at a school offering a music program, a small to medium enrollment and a wrestling program with coaches and teammates that will help me thrive.

Academic: 3.54 GPA

Athletic: WPIAL Qualifier as a Freshman at 120#; SW Regional Qualifier as a Junior at 126#; Lettered FR, SO, JR Years; Coaches Award for Hardest Worker and Most Pins FR and SO Years; Selected as Team Captain Senior season.  

Career Record: 97-35 with 64 Wins by Fall going into Senior Year, Individual Post-season
